Think You’re The Hairiest Man in Orange County? January 2nd, 2016

Since “Movember” is long over, Orange County residents will be glad to hear that they have another reason to grow their beards and mustaches absurdly long. The Fiesta Association Hairiest Man Contest begins Saturday, January 2nd 2016 at 2 PM.

Thrown by the Fiesta Association in San Juan Capistrano, you must come to the Jan. 2nd signups clean-shaven and ready to be photographed for your “Most Wanted” poster. You then have 8 weeks to grow a beard or mustache, which will be judged at the Fiesta Grande on March 19th, 6:30 PM. Already rocking an awesome beard? Existing beards and mustaches are welcome.

The only price of admission is a $5 entry fee, which supports the Swallows Day Parade.

Peking Acrobats -January 8th, 2016

Become amazed by the pure skill of this talented group, which features some of China’s top gymnasts, cyclists, and jugglers. They are visiting Orange County as part of their 30th Anniversary Tour in the Year of the Monkey. The Peking Acrobats will be accompanied by live musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments to add to the performance.

The cost is $49 for adults, $39 for students with ID

Snow Day in Fullerton- January 30th, 2016

While  Fullerton may never get real snow, tons of the frosty stuff will be arriving at the Brea Dam Park on Saturday, January 30th. Kids can have snowball fights, make snowmen, sled, and more. Space is limited to 900 people so early registration is recommend.

Bowers Museum Family Festival- January 3rd, 2016

Learn about a new culture with this celebration of Kwanzaa! The museum’s plaza will host art projects, face-painting, storytelling and more at the Kidseum. This event is January 3rd from 10am-4pm.

Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show-through 2/27/16

Get a little mystery in your life and check out the Dinner Detective. This award-winning murder mystery dinner show is sent in the present day. The catch? Performers are dressed just like everyone else, so you have to figure out who is part of the show. Detectives interrogate everyone and find more clues as people “die”. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the night to Top Sleuth who solves the crime.

It’s like a real life Clue! Check it out before it’s over, show runs through February 27th, 2016. As of this writing, seats are available for the January 16th, January 30th, February 13th, and February 27th shows. The cost is $60 for a ticket. Get more information here.
