How do you advertise on a social media platform based on people sharing photos and videos all day long, all across the globe?
Today Instagram announced via their blog that they will be “slowly” adding advertisements to Instagram in the form of ads or photos by brands you don’t already follow. For example, you may already follow McDonald’s, but you may see posts from Burger King as well.
But don’t fret! You will have the option to hide ads that aren’t relevant to you, and explain to Instagram why you don’t care for them.
The ads are promised to be high-quality and to come from brands who are already well-established Instagram users.
How do you feel about ads on Instagram? Will it change how you use the app?
